Collector’s edition of Chungking Express (1994) — about two lovesick cops who frequent a late-night food stand called the Midnight Express.
The midnight take-out theme is based on the late-night food stand that bridges the narrative in this two-part film. Bathed in the garish light of neon signs and fluorescent kitchens, Wong Kar-Wai's characters navigate the fickleness of love in an ever-changing city.
Color-coded menus function as individual character guides, containing timestamped scenes, quotes, and illustrative icons. Color schemes and graphic palettes were developed for each character based on their personality, habitats, and attire.
